Here’s the dirt on Mikles Family Farm:

Outdoor Concert on Sat, Sept 26th: Back for the 4th year! Annual Christian Concert! 6-10pm. Christian Rock & Contemporary Music. Don’t miss it. Lot’s to do. $5 Admission for everyone. Includes Concert and Activities.

Haunted Cornstalker Attraction: Every weekend in October from dark to 10pm. Come on out and check it out! New! Motion sensored animatronics and scary sound effects. Dark, outdoor fun! Not recommended for kids under 10.

Open for Fall Break! Friday, Oct 16th from 9am-1:30pm. Great opportunity to take your children on an outdoor adventure! Prices are $5 per person during this special opening. Includes maze, hayride, one barrel train ride (for 11 yrs & younger), meet the farm animals, hay play, sand pile, and horse swings (for kids 42″ and shorter). Does not include a pumpkin.   Kid sized pumpkins – approx 5″ tall & 5″ wide are $2. Larger pumpkins are 39 cents per pound. If you keep your wristband on, you may re-enter the farm for free that evening. For an additional $4,  you can go through the Haunted Corn Stalker Attraction. Will re-open from 6-10pm. For guests who did not attend the special day-time Fall Break opening, regular admission prices will apply Fri evening.

Scout Weekend! Oct 16, 17, & 18  Fri 6-10pm; Sat 10am-10pm; and Sun 1-5pm. Bring your scout troop out for the special rate of $5. Scout patches available for $1. Advance reservations required.

Saturday, October 31st from 2-4pm. Trick or Treat in the Maze: This is a special event for kids 10 and under in full costume. $7 (Cost of Admission) for kids. Participating children must be accompanied by a paid adult. Adult cost of admission is $8.  $1 off coupons will be accepted. Print coupon from the Dates/Prices Page.

Costume contest at 4:15pm. Prizes will be awarded.

November is Free Campfire Month! Sitting around a campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows with family and friends is so much fun! Bring 20 people or more (ages 4 and up) and receive a free campfire for your group on Nov 6, 7, 13, or 14 (Closed Sunday in Nov). Group Discount (for a group of 20 or more) Admission Prices: Ages 12 & up, $6.50; ages 4-11, $5.50. Advance reservations required.

Campfire times are:

Fridays, Nov 6th or 13th: 6-10pm

Saturdays, Nov 7th or 13th: 12-2pm, 3-5pm, or 6-10pm

Admission includes: Unlimited number of times through the 5 acre Thunder maze, hayride, farm animals petting area, play on hay, sandpile, horse swings for kids 42″ and under, duck races, mini maze, barrel train ride (one ride for kids ages 4-11).

Don’t forget to pack your roasting sticks. (We have disposables for 50 cents each.) Mikles Family Farm provides the wood & lights the fire for you. Feel free to bring food (hot dogs and marshmallows, etc) to roast over your fire.

NEW! Introducing “Shawnee Farm Babies”!!! Coming to Mikles Family Farm, Spring 2010, from May 8th – June 12th.   Do you and your kids love baby animals? We will have a variety of precious baby farm animals for you to meet and interact with. Other favorites will include the hayride, barrel train ride, hay play, sand pile, horse swings. Camp fires will also be available. Plan to come on out and enjoy spring at the farm! More details coming after 2009 Fall Season is over.
